Custom metal flashing is a type of sheet metal that is specifically fabricated to fit the unique requirements of a particular building or construction project. Flashing refers to the material that is installed to prevent water from seeping into joints or crevices where different building materials meet, such as where a roof meets a wall or chimney, or where two different rooflines intersect. Custom metal flashing is typically made from aluminum, copper, or galvanized steel, and is formed to fit the specific contours and angles of the area where it will be installed.

In the Madawaska Valley the most common type of custom flashing for roofs or windows is made from 29 gauge aluminium flat stock. It is easily shaped on a siding brake and provides long lasting and aesthetically pleasing water protection.
